WEEK 5 REFLECTION What Learning did you find challenging this week? Reading, because there were some challenging words that I couldn't pronounce. How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges? I asked Miss Harsent what the word means and how to pronounce it then I just practised a few times then I got it. What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week? Writing because I added detail, and miss Lamond said I did good. Why are you proud if it? Because I added detail, and miss Lamond said I did a great job.

LIVING SPRINGS CAMP 1 Who did you share a bunk room with? Holly F, Georgia M, Haylie M, Nina B, Hannah W, Caitlin T, Layla F, and lastly me. 2 What was your favourite rotation activity? (Describe the activity) My favourite rotation was the Burma trail. 3 Why? The Burma trail is when you get blind folded then you have to hold on to a rope, and climb a mountain it was really fun not using your sight, because your sight it is the most important sense in all your senses to me. 4 What two school values did you show? I showed be brave and I showed the value respect too. 5 How? I showed the value be brave by trying the Burma trail and I also showed the value respect because I wasn't winging at first for the Burma trail when I didn't want to do it, because I thought I would fall of the cliff. 6 What was the best part of camp for you? CHILDREN'S DAY 2018 What were the best parts of Children's Day? When we all got splashed with the water from the fire hose. Why? Because it was a really hot day, and it was really nice to get hosed by some chilly water. What Values did you use/show at Children's Day? Connect, and Be Brave. How? I showed connect by talking to a lot of people that I normally won't talk to, and I showed be brave by getting hosed by the hose when I was a little scared.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO COMMENT ON PEOPLES BLOGS? So they know that you have red it, because if you don't read it you can't comment. What is the FIRST step in giving feedback? Tell the writer something you like about their blog. Why is it important to follow this step? So they know where they have done well . Do I have to use this every time? YES so they know what they did well. What is the SECOND step in giving feedback? Ask the writer a question about their blog. Why is it important to follow this step? So then the person that is commenting on the writers blog will know what they don't understand in the piece of writing. Do I have to use this every time? No, I must choose between this step and giving feedback depending on the person I am commenting on. What is the THIRD step in giving feedback? To tell the writer what you thing they can improve on. Who is your buddy? A cute little girl from room 3 named Charlotte. What do you like about them? I like the way she smiles, because it is like a sun that lights me up in the inside, also because when she talks it feels really confident. What things do you have in common with you buddy? My buddy and I both like to ride on our scooters, and watch movies we also like animals like Koalas, dolphins, cats/kittens, and other pets. What things are different about you and your buddy? My buddy likes dolls, and I don't really like dolls anymore, because I am kind of over the age to play with dolls.  

CONNECT REFLECTION - WEEK 1 What does our new value - CONNECT - mean? For me connect means working together to help each other when they are stuck, or unsure about something, because connect means kind of the same thing to connection, and I know what connection means, so I kind of have a idea what connect will mean, and I also think connect means if you know someone needs help you can always go along, and help them. How have you Connected this week?  Remember to show evidence, actual times, and how. I have been showing connect when I was helping Bella on her word find after morning tea. How could you become better at this value? To make more connection with more people like make new friends, or help people that need help also I can opp into more other stuff in the school to connect with the community.
